A new tractor project

A friend of mine brought over his Case G310G dozer for me to get running again. It caught fire while he was using it in the woods a year back. Fire was contained to the engine area. Radiator is totally melted. The fuel system needs replacing and also all the electrical components. Starter looks OK. Engine has oil in it and is free. Pulled valve cover and all looks OK in there.
I have a parts list made out and divided it into parts that we will need to source from salvage yard, auto parts store, and parts from Case.

Grousers look nice. I've always heard good things about 310's and parts availability, that still true today ?

I thought seriously about getting one of those for a yard/chore tractor so I wouldn't have to scoop so much snow after a blizzard. That will drive right over top of those hard packed snowdrifts we got back then, but I wasn't too sure about the 14ft. deep drift that we used to get between the hay shed and the cattle yard.

The under carriage is real good. Berco replacement chains, all but one roller are real good. Front idlers tight and forks have been shimmed up. The aftermarket 6 way blade built by Pehdorff has seen a lot of hard use and has had lots of repairs. and needs a few more.
