reminds me of high school auto mechanics, teacher had a willys jeep that he had us put a 327 chevy in.....
 
no way to pull 8 bttoms not enough wt. Neighbor had a Funk Conversion pulled 3-14 till rerar end went out rest of the tractor wasnt built to handle that much HP then engine rpms had to be low for ground speed.

I believe that the original Funk conversions were made for power for belt work.
 
The rears are loaded on this tractor (95hp) and my 6' box blade full of gravel will cause it to spin out. Can't get nearly enough weight for the hp. Fun to own though. Five years ago, I would have bought that tractor. Would have made a nice pair for my six (except for the gas tank).

Neighbor had an 8N with a Funk 6-cylinder like that picture, he couldn't pull empty 16 ft hayracks or hay
rakes that I could pull with my stock '39 Farmall H. I think his Farmall Cub was more of a tractor than
that overpowered go-cart!
 
Must live in the mountains. My stock & well worn 8N pulls hay rack with 10,000 pounds of round bales easy enough.
