was at a sale yesterday,seen a 3 bottom plow with a hydraulic cylinder on each bottom.whats the purpose of the cylinder ??

For re setting the bottom if you hit a rock or root or something else hard.

88-1175 That is a hydrolic reset plow. I use to own one. Liked it better than dad s spring reset plow. I could adjust the preassure on the go. RB

Hydraulic automatic reset. They trip and reset after hitting a rock without having to stop and back up to reset the bottom. Work pretty slick if they are set up properly. I've got a 5 bottom.
