Hey jocco and Roger in Iowa

Here she is backed in the shed after feeding alfalfa, jocco. Those poor front fenders took a beating over the years feeding cattle silage without a front bumper. They are going to be a big body work challenge. I refuse to replace them with cheap aftermarket ones, though. Now that all mechanicals are back to spec I'm going to work on the cab and doors. The back support piece is cracked causing the back of the cab to sag. The doors and hood fit funny because of it. I've got 80 years of daily use to slowly rectify while I continue choring with it. Used her tonight to feed. She's a good old girl

Roger you asked about tires for the old truck. It had three options when new - 6.00/20, 6.50/20, or 7.00/20. I think I will go 6.00/20 for the front and 6.50/20 for the rear duals. Right now it has a mix and match but the majority are old 7.00/20 military surplus. I think they are too big. The combination I'm going to try for seemed to be the one most often used as far as I can tell.

We have some 6x32's you could get for it. They are probably cotton or rayon. Now for a size like that you know they are old. These tires were old when I was just a little kid. That was 50 years ago. They came with the axles out of old dodge trucks for trailers. One grandpa used to load the D-4 and pull the plow behind it with the doodlebug.

I like your truck a lot! Here is a picture of one that I painted up. I wish I had never sold it. That's me and my daughter a long time ago.

I had one like this long ago--and in about the same condition. I let it go because I had neither the money, time, know-how or facilities to fix it up the way I wanted. I just love this body style--it's very similar to the 1933/34 Ford cars. International used this body style from 1934 to 1936--Model C. The C designation included C-1 all the way up to C-55, depending on the size of the truck. Mine was a C-50, I think. Some had a chrome bumper that had a v-shape in the center. Very cool looking truck, and well-worth restoring. Wish I had mine back now.
