What brand of pressure tanks do you guys have good or bad experiences with in the house? Is there much difference?

I'll be replacing mine myself in the near future.

Well Extrol by Amtrol. I have two on my system, one in each building. they are eighteen years old. They did well by me on warrantees years ago when I was buying a lot of them and was having some issues.

Correction: I should have said twenty-eight years old

I use an old 52 gal water heater. Don"t need a bladder tank.

Please explain how that works. If you have a big tank the water expands and contracts?

I use an old water heater tank also, I just add some air a couple of times a year, it's at a seasonal cabin.

Oh OK, I used to air my mothers tank up for her every year or so.
