I am pretty low today also. My brother stopped to leave some parts for me to get repaired for him. (he works out of town all week). As he pulled in my drive, both dogs ran barking. My little dog Tippy, a 10 year old Bichon got ran over and killed right in my drive.
We are pretty sad, and my yellow Lab Molly is moping too. So we know exactly how you feel.

A few years ago, my wife was backing her minivan out of the garage and backed over her favorite cat. I can't begin to describe how distraught she was.

However-from the cat's actions that morning before it happened, I'm convinced the cat was already terminally doomed and was either too sick or not alert enough to clear out from under the vehicle.

Never a good time. Many years ago, a city friend backed over a kitten when he was leaving, poor little thing was still kicking, he ran into the house to get the .22, I 'dealt' with it before he got to the door. Stuff has to be done quickly and humanely - didn't much like it.

I feel for You Old Popper -- Put my 120 lb. pyrenees down last fall -- it was a hard thing to do -- I am looking for a good farm dog now and would like a dog with experience -- a pup takes a lot of time!! Roy

Very sorry to hear....I tried to read your post to my wife and she stopped me before I finished. We are pet lovers and ours are a vital part of the family. Even time doesn't heal the passing of our friends. Our sympathies to you and your family....I know your brother feels horrible.
