Repiar "disc"??? for implement wheel

Some years back there were weld on repair "discs" made for implement wheels that had the bolt holes worn out or torn. I haven't seen them in years, but was wondering if anyone remembered them and knows where I could find some for NH 4 hole wheels?

Haven"t seen them for years, but I watch for bent rims on auctions...get them for a buck or two, and salvage the half that is good, either the center or the rim. Drill the welds out and remount in a good half. A bit of time and little expense gets a good wheel. Note that some centers are thicker/thinner than others, when you match them up.

There's lots of sources of "wheel reinforcement rings" available in 6 and 8 hole patterns, don't know of any 4-holers.

Another option for smaller wheels if not too badly damaged is "wheel repair washers".
Look at Page F3

I looked on the ME Miller tire site. They have blank discs and rims, but I didn't see a 4 bolt blank, but a call might get you what you want. They did show a 4 bolt 4.5x15" wheel for $50.

I think all 4 bolt USA made imp rims had the same bolt pattern. Its been 11 years since I was in the tire shop, I think the center holes were also the same. Any farm salvage lot should have a used 1. Any tire shop that specializes in farm tires will probably have a new one laying around. Be far easier than trying to fix a busted 1.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll go with the original plan and weld a couple of good heavy washers on the torn hole. That's what I get for not paying attn to the "clicking" sound...
