So many helpful ideas it was hard to pick one, but I went with Butch's coaxial indicator idea. I am building a set of slip rolls and I need a stub axle in the ends of each roll to sit in a pillow block. I had never seen or heard of a coaxial indicator, and when I saw what it did I realized I could use it on about 5 other projects. I saved that page with all your posts in my documents for future reference cuz there were so many good ideas. I couldn't find any decent slip rolls under $700, so I decided to spend $200 on material and the rest on building up my machine tooling arsenal. Thanks again for the help. Fritz
