Grandsons birthday

He turns 1year old. We want to do something for him but he doesn't need anything. Books.toys clothes got it. Any ideas?

Harvey Potter Balloon Farm, Good Night Moon, Richard Scarry Books, Cars and Trucks and things that go. Read to him. The sound is a lullaby, and the words prepare his mind for talking!!! Jim

He will not know what you get, agree ask parents for small gift and contribute to 529 if possible.

The little guy we babysit for loves to watch tractors working in the field videos on u-tube.

Moving hay bales his favorite.

A toolbox. Every birthday and Christmas buy him one good tool. By the time he can use them he'll have his own. Done it for all 3 of my kids.

some goofy little toy, won't know the difference anyway & what we usually do, add $100 or so to his RESP ( Canada here, so registered education fund ) am sure the US has something similar, all, our grand kids have them , you put in so much, govt adds so much, hopefully when the kids are out of high school, college / uni is covered

Well today is my grandsons birthdays.. I have two grandsons born this day 4/4 one turned 5 Liam & Seth turned 3 . Born to sisters & really
not planned on. Both weight 8 pounds 12 oz. & both were born at 6PM.. The Older one LIAM I got him a Thomas battery operated train & track
when he was 1 year old.. Might have been a Mistake?? Because a Dump truck can't haul of the train stuff he has now. Seth is the 3 year old
& I bought him toy animals horse's, cows, sheep & at 3 years old he now has a whole herd of animals including ducks & chickens and a farm set
that cover a 1/2 acer & a dump truck can't haul all the stuff.... So you should think about it first? Both of my daughters don't want Grampa
buying anything for the Boys.... But like my daddy always said I don't listen very well.....

Go on the Internet and type in "lots of big trains". It's a video about 4 minutes long. Which means you can only play it about 15 times every hour.

Is it odd I recognize most of those books titles? I was going to suggest books. Our son is now 3 and he's a little pickier but still loves books.

There's a series of books with titles moo, cat, dog, maybe more. They're a pop up book. We wore the first set out and bought a second. Seems like it was about that age when he really took a liking to them.
