Minneapolis G900 Diesel

A MM G900 is coming up for sale soon and I would like to have it at a reasonable cost. I don't know anything about its condition yet other than 5500 hours. I have no use for it...just like to mess around with it. Have any of you guys had experience with these and the things to look for. For example, do the heads crack on these or brake problems. Thanks- just trying to be proactive.

Those were the worst tractor ever built. They were constantly blowing head gaskets, crankshaft seals always leaked. They constantly overheated, the hydraulics were too weak to run anything but the 3 point. The brake linkage was known to freeze up all the time, the transmission was known to frequently get hung up in two gars, but worst of all they didn't have enough power to pull your hat off. Where is this sale?? and when??

HA HA!! Sounds like showcrop wants to help save you from this tractor! A friend of mine just sent his off for repairs but I don't know what was wrong with it or if it had just been sitting too long.

They are pretty well known for cracking heads, but they are probably the nicest starting Moline diesel second to a 585. We have 4. I like them. Kind of an under powered boat, but that is what makes them fun.

(quoted from post at 05:12:53 04/03/17) Hey Showcrop--How high are you going on it???

I wouldn't go over $200.00 but of course I still need to know where and when.
