Looks like I'll have the day off tomorrow near St Louis. I'll be at the FlyingJ truckstop on I-270 on the Il side. I should be able to drop my trailer and do some driving if that suits you as well. You can send me an email or call me at 320 492 9077 if your interested.

Fast Eddies in Alton is about 20 minutes away from there. Very good and cheap food and cold beer (which you can't have since your in a commercial truck). The river road that runs along the Illinois River from there is a nice scenic drive too.

Sherry Schaefer and her dad, Ollie are about an hour up I-70 at Greenville, Illinois. They can talk your leg off about old tractors, especially Olivers. (Oliver Heritage Magazine, Heritage Iron Magazine)

Anything away from Saint Louis would be a plus in my book. I do not like any bigger cities.

American Farm Heritage Museum, Greenville, Illinois.

I thought about maybe checking out the museum if no one wants to meet. I'll see how far it is.

St. Louis is around 250 miles north east of the Lake of the Ozarks. I am around 25 miles from Lebanon MO which is on I-44. By the way my e-mail is always open on here

If you want to take a ride, turn north on IL 111 till you come to IL 143. Turn left and head west. You can stop at Lock and Dam 26 and take a tour or keep goin till you get to the flour mill in Alton(Can't miss it). Hang a left and head up the River Road .Nice ride up to Grafton. Go thru town till you come to Beasleys Fish Stand. Big area to turn around .Stop and get a sandwich. Check out the high water marks on the flour mill as you go by.
I gotta haul hay tomorrow. If it wasn't for that we could have a visit.

Near St. Louis? Stay safe...we don"t want to lose you! We need the daily funnies! BTW- better half and her social group had din at Nelson"s last week- she brought me home a nutty topped roll. Bummed- bread was tough...she said baked too long. Tough to cut with a fork, or chew. Not like Nelson"s standards. But the nutty topping was great!
