looks like a good idea, but what keeps it from swinging front to back on the pins??

I to think it would swing back and forth a lot, so, it needs a top link bracket. And as long as your welding on it put a hitch on the back so you can still pull something with the tractor! How weldable is brake drum material? Is it cast steel?

The hitch stabilizer bars would stop it from swaying.

The 3 point has stabilizer links. Thats the frustration people from the little tractor world have moving to large older tractors, they don't understand why a three point hitch wouldn't have a way to set it to no sway.

ken, maybe i used the wrong term. i was thinking with the pins up high the drum would roll front to back when you pulled forward or backed up.

I found that I can use one less chain link on my Jubilee to keep mower from swing a lot, however I have to attach mower first. swing is a fact reguardless if you Habra top link.

I am just lazy I put 3 point hay fork on tractor and pick up a round bale works for me .

After a number of back operations I cant handle the big weights so I use barbell weights.
