Grease zerks?

Who sells the best grease zerks? I bought some from Rural King and for some reason they don't like my grease gun. Nothing wrong with gun. Two grease guns work fine on many old grease zerks. Grease comes out around the new RK zerks even when I remove the pins from loader. There is no blockage.

Who sells a good zerk?

I have had no trouble with those (or anything else) I buy from McMaster Carr. I just "run" a hobby shop, but it seems every couple of months I am ordering from them. They have EVERYTHING.

Zerks come in metric and SAE, at least as far as the threads are concerned. Maybe the head is along the same lines. May be you have a Metric head in your gun and SAE zerk which would/could make for the slop you have. TSC sells both types of zerks. Can't say about the head.....probably metric.

No the rural king zerks are sae.
I conclude nothing wrong with my two guns that work perfectly on old zerks. I'm thinking the RK zerks may have been made in China. They don't want to seal up to gun. I bought an assortment, straights, 45 and 90 and two size of SAE threads so when the smaller one gets stripped out I drill it out, tap it and install the larger ones.

I need a place to buy some made in America zerks. May stop off at an auto store. Definitely not going to HF.

Geo-tho, is the head on your grease gun adjustable? is the fit to loose? tighten the head down not too much or you wont get it off the zerk
