Bought too much at an auction yesterday

Went to an auction near Circleville Ohio yesterday so now I have to go back (85 miles) with 2 trailers and pick it up. Bought a 4 bottom 3 point plow for $150, 273 New Holland baler $700, new (price tag still on it) 6' bush hog $700, 5' bush hog $150, 4 row J.D (472 I think) no till corn planter that has dual bean boxes on it $150. You will notice I don't know anything about corn planters All seem to be in pretty good condition but have been sitting for awhile. It was so muddy I couldn't get my trailer either in or out of where the equipment was sitting. They had no one to load the stuff so I'll pay a guy that lives near there to bring his back hoe over today and load for me, I think that's why stuff went so cheap. I don't need any of them so I guess I'll try to make a little money on them.

I would pull the baler and load the rest. The planter can be loaded with the tongue off so will be legal like the rest. A bush hog could be stood on it's face with them both facing each other. If you haul the baler it will need permits for over width. Towed nobody will probably bother you.

Happens some times at sales. It usually is some thing that happens when the sale is not going well. In your case it was the ability to get loaded out. I have seen lower prices if the auction last too late in the day.

Sounds like you got some good deals. I hope you do well on reselling the items.

good luck on playing scalper( reselling) cost already went up if count time, trips, hire loader.those prices pretty normal my area. can buy balers that era 500 to 900 depend on sale weather. good luck
