My Dad's Tractor Followed me home

Parents passed in 2015. My brother bought a new Kubota so I finally got to bring home Dad's old MF 135 Diesel. Needs some work but I will get to it when I can.

That is way awesome! I have one of dad's tractors too and it is priceless. That one looks nice too.
 

Been under a shed since my bought it and I will keep it under cover as well. Needs some work.

The brush guard is loose and needs new bolts. Fuel leak at the filters I have to address. A good power washing is in order. Steering needs addressed as it is hard to turn right now (no PS). Needs new shoes all the way around.

Brush cutter set out under trees for years. going to see if it can be fixed up.

Brother and I plan to keep it in the family. Not planning on a restore as it will be working tractor. Keeping it in its work clothes.
 
Looks purty darn good to me. My brother has my dad's 135 diesel. It has power adjust rear wheels and multi-power, but looks a lot rougher than this one...my dad only bought it because he wanted the MF chopper that was hooked to it and the owner would not separate them. Both were like new. After using that tractor for a few days it became his favorite for quite a few years.
 

This one does not have the multi-power option. Think it is around a 1969 or 1970 model. Hope to find the serial number tag to know for sure.

They are a handy little tractor for sure.
 
I spent a lot of time on one of those running a rotiller for gardens, lawns etc our FFA chapter owned it and we worked pretty steady. It was an upgrade from our 35 massy. At that time MF had a plan where we could upgrade pretty cheap every year, didn't last long though. The 135 was really a nice tractor to run though with the 2 stage clutch.
 
Good for you all. Those little Massey diesel tractors were way ahead of their time. I have a Massey 35 and I will keep it until I die. We have several tractors but the little Massey gets used for many things that the others are just to big for. I like to drive it around the farm scouting crop conditions even though I have a JD gator and a Kubota 900 UV.
 
i got my dads and uncles tractor back last couple years. are all still just like they were both run
just in work clothes. both in the oliver colors
