stiff remote control valve

My 3020 has a remote control valve that is hard to move . I have removed linkage it operates fine . I can move valve with channel locks very stiff, but moves . Does valve need to be rebuilt ? Or can it be repaired ?

Does it work properly? If it works properly just stiff, The shaft in the valve that the linkage connects to might be rusty where it goes into the housing. There is an o-ring in the housing that seals the shaft but I have seen them stick outside the o-ring. Try lubing it up on both ends and work the lever and see if it frees up. You didn't specify early or late model but either can rust up, just different location and different scv but same problem.
