The one my dad used and swore by is a formula by Dr. C. C. Waltenbaugh available from Rice Pharmacy, Canton, OH.
Another we have is a homeopathic from DEB Marketing, Wadsworth, Oh.
I can't personally vouch for either one since I don't get it.

The sap from the Poison Ivy stem is doubly potent compared to the leaves. I always put lacquer thinner on a paper towel and gently wiped it down until your skin was really dry (turned white when evaporated), but I never got it real bad, usually just a few rows of blisters. That cure seemed to work well, but anyone that I remember having a large out break had to go to the doctor, one inhaled it burning in a brush pile, that required several days hospitalization.

Thanks a lot Mike for the the suggestion. Never heard of either of those things, so I would have never known to try them. Got them on my list now! Thanks again

We always used Calamine Lotion, sorta pink, dries to a hard crust, protecting the blisters; been on the market probably half a century.....survived the test of time....a quality product that works! Keeps them from itching too. It's a rash treatment and works on most. OTC. at your favorite drug store
