Just make sure the power shift works in all ranges correctly. Good rugged tractor but can be expensive to repair if you have to pay to have the power shift repaired.

That tractor is a good tractor. It has the older case powershift rear end and a cummins engine. They were the last Case tractor beforethe Magnum. They are very fuel efficient and handy tractor. They are no more expensive tha any other powershift trasmission to repair, but that is still $5,000 or more.

My neighbor bought one new. Great tractor. He has had no trouble with it. Except has turned it over mowing. Engine has almost unlimited horsepower! 300 is nothing. 1000 with no internal mods. At least in the 4x4 magazines.

My brother has one with about 6000 hours on it, all good so far. It seems decent on fuel, with decent comfort. Was told do not to leave it in reverse when doing stationary power take off work, not sure why. The line's under the cab can rub together and cause a leak that is not easy to find or fix. Check the switch on the right side of the steering wheel to be sure it is not in the override position,it bypasses lots if automatic shut down features. The switch on the left side of the steering wheel (lights) replaced it once, seems to be a stock item at the dealer, likely used in lots of different models. In the cold weather we let it warm up with the clutch depressed for a couple of minutes, it seem to be a little gentler on it. Just the little things we found or do.
