So far it is south of us. Got a dusting of snow this morning. Winds are supposed to pick up and get nastier as the day progresses. Looks like it is stronger down Loren's way right now. Calling for "possibly 24 inches and high winds in the higher elevations". Translation: Tug Hill gets snow and wind. (again)

Storm went around me in Terre Haute. They were saying I could get up to 6 inches. I did measure about 6 inches between snow flakes, if that counts. Ground was so warm, nothing left by afternoon.

Storm is ending now here in Western MD and got about a foot or so of wet snow. Wish it was 10° colder, will be fighting my single-stage snowblower down a 500 ft lane.

Weather is going to be 15-20 degrees above normal in PHX for the rest of the week. This past weekend rescuers had to take 11 hikers off the mountain because the stupid people won't carry enough water to sustain a mountain hike. Several of the rescues were by helicopter; wish they would make the stupid people pay for those instead of loading the cost on the taxpayers.

Fifteen people had to be treated yesterday for heat exhaustion at the spring training baseball games! Not smart to sit out in mid-90's temps when you aren't used to it.

I can recall rain downpours to beat that. I can recall 10"ers...........between drops. Grin You folks stay warm!

We are right in the middle of a 40 mile wide swath that is supposed to get the brunt of it here in southern NH. They are predicting 3-4 inches per hour for 4-7 hours. I have my generator full of gas, battery charged and an extra five gallons.

Showcrop, I am in central Vermont and we are just starting to get the snow , some wind and a light fall so far

50 miles south of Erie Pa... a whole 1/2" ..... It's like the world is coming to a end....

This is out my window this morning in Harrisburg Pa. Looks to have mostly stopped snowing now. Glad I have the day off.

Its causing lake affect here in Western NY. Expecting to get a least a foot in my area when its done. This is right after the 70 MPH wind storm we had last week. We haven't had a significant snow storm here since December until now that its almost spring.

In R.I. it is now about 28 deg. and snowing very fine flakes, but not too hard, nowhere a whiteout. I thought by now it was supposed to be a blizzard? Maybe it is going to fizzle. There is about 3" now and it has been snowing since around 5am and it is 10am now. Will this be another one where they hype the sh!t out of it and not much happens? Too soon to tell now but maybe.

Over a foot here already, forecast says 18 to 24 with some areas 30" possible.

* LOCATIONS ...Delaware and Sullivan counties in New York.

* HAZARD TYPES ...Heavy snow, as well as significant blowing and
drifting.

* ACCUMULATIONS ...Snow accumulation of generally 18 to 24 inches
with locally up to 30 inches.

* TIMING ...Snow will continue heavy at times a

I'm in central NY, so I'm in the same boat as SMS - 24" or so, and blowing hard. I have a long drive to work, so I stayed home - got the animals in the barn, plugged in all the equipment and checked the fluids on the generator - hopefully I won't need it

Chemung county New York , at least 12 inches . Can't see the neighbors . Already plowed once and its not 12:30 yet .

Started snowing about 10pm last night. I went to bed thinking the forecasters were wrong again, About an inch on the ground and and clear. Woke up to about 15 inches and a flat tire on the snowblower tractor. Got it going, made a few passes by the mailbox before I thought, who cares if I get any mail, it's only junk mail. So I parked it and came back in the house to dry off. My grandson will be over when he finishes his plowing route to plow mine, and get some brownies and what ever else he can find to eat. Right now at 12:30 tues. it's snowing pretty good out there.

When you buy a hunting or fishing license out here you can have a dollar added on that goes into a fund to pay for search and rescue if you need it; otherwise, you can be charged for what the s&r cost. :)
