OT hate traveling through Tennessee

Headed to Florida, long delays from west of Nashville through Chattenooga.

Zipped right through Atlanta at midnight.

Now onto Florida.

Nashville and Atlanta always suck for traffic. Have you tried going around the south loop at Nashville then out to 641 and up? Never tried it myself. I would give it a try next time I was down there. It would save all that downtown traffic and accidents in Nashville. Then go down through AL and avoid Atlanta altogether. Some of those old routes have been improved significantly in the last 10-15 years. From Dothan AL to Montgomery has been helped out lots with 4 lane and a bypass around Dothan now.

David I go 41 south. 24 to Nashville. Get off at 155 west, Briley. Then east on 40 to 440 east to 65 south to Birmingham. Many back roads to Florida from Birmingham. I enjoy getting off interstate. Going around Nashville. Avoiding Alanta. Not that much longer, even less time of you factor in traffic backups.

Man you guys make me feel bad. Live 1 hr west of Nashville and run East or 40 or south on 24 pretty regular. Yes we do have traffic but just have to learn how to go.. Lol Went thru Nashville going East on 40 this morning in a snow storm and had no trouble but sometimes it can be a night mare.

Been through Nashville, Tennessee a number of times going to the Smokies and Florida. We catch 45 north of Nashville and go around the east side of Nashville to 40.I have been through Atlanta three times and plan it so I hit it at the off hours of traffic.
