Gresen 2703 troubleshooting

I switched out the 2702 for the 2703 that has float. Now my hydraulics on the IH 504 deadhead. It deadheads when I have the remote that supplies the stack back and when it is forward (or the wrong way). If I pull one of the levers on the stack back before I move the remote lever it will work but it will deadhead if I push a lever on the stack forward. Is there a check valve that may be clogged? The stack wouldn't be a closed center would it?

I attached some pictures for references.

It looks like that valve is set up as a closed center system, you will need to pull the big plug on the valve and replace it with an open center outlet if your tractor has an open center hyd system.
 
It the one on the right side of the valve right in front of the return line. The closed center one will be longer with a second oring that seals the return when the valve is in neutral. The open center plug is just that it has just one oring and just plugs the hole. The one out of your old valve should work fine.
 
That was the one!! Although I didn't see the extra o-ring. maybe the guy before me didn't put it in.
 
Now I have another issue though. I have no down pressure. Is there another plug that I need to swap?
