10k dump trailer tires?

My 10k dump trailer gets used a lot and the rubber needs replaced. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tire alignment, brakes or excessive loads. If you see the sidewalls flex in a turn you will understand why the tires don't last very long.

My question; Is there one brand of tire that will last longer than another?

I have tried 14 ply trailer tires, and am back to running Firestone Transforce. That is on my 6'8"X26'tandem axle stock trailer. I try to stay under 15000 pounds of cattle, and yes I know I am over loading it. The Transforce have been the only tire that stands up to that abuse for me. My 32 foot flatbed has 17.5 tires on it, and they are twice the tire combo!!!

on a dump trailer they flat get chewed off when turning,, I would bet Bias ply tires would do better as they slide easier but I do not know if you can even get them anymore, on my 5th wheel i only run the 14 ply Hankook's

Radial truck tires (not trailer tires) is the way to go in my opinion.

X 2 on the Bias tires. I run them on all my trailers now. Got tired of the radial blowouts.

Hwy miles run radials,on trailers that do a lot of turning(most of us) bias tires.

I rented a trailer here in Michigan for something I had to haul.
I was about 100 miles from home when it had a blowout.
So I stopped in at a tire shop and asked them if they had a used
tire they could put on it just to get me home. No load on it yet.
Nope. No used trailer tires. They said it was against the law
(DOT regulations maybe?) to put a car/truck tire on a trailer.
I don't know, never looked it up. Just what I was told.

No, I didn't buy a new tire. I took the trailer back empty.
A used one I would have bought, hauled my load and argued to
be deducted from the rental fee. Instead they returned my
rental fee since I wasn't able to haul anything with their equipment.

I checked trailer came with biased. Tire barn said radials will run cooler, but I don't go that far for tired to hear up. Dealer recommends rotating once a year.
