Spring like on the weekend but woke up Monday to snow and blowing snow with maybe ten above zero. Not so nice. Sure glad I got the yearlings
trucked out yesterday and the cow with new born calf penned up in the shelter out of the snow. Guess I get to move some more snow when this
settles down.
Working with cattle

Yesterday the Weekend forecast coming was calling for upper 50's. At work at about midnight this morning someone showed me a new forecast from a local TV station calling for 8 - 10"'s of snow for Sunday! I live southwest of downtown Indianapolis, & we have not had 8"'s of snow all Fall, & winter put together this year!!!

We had a negative 8F over the weekend. Now it's in the 40's and raining. 50's predicted for a couple of days. And yes, now winter is forecast for the coming weekend.

I seen that Mr. Olis was calling for 7-9 inches in southern Indiana. I can not find another forecast calling for any snow.

Yesterday in central Mn. had the earliest tornado on record. It was 66 degrees here with thunderstorms and hail. This AM it is 22 degrees & the ground is white with a couple inches of snow.

Somewhat wild here in Sask. this morning. Not so much snow falling but what we have is blowing up in a wall of white with wind gusts pushing 50 mph. Power off in the SE corner of Sask. and Sask Power won't send the trucks out. I'm lucky here in the parklands where I have at least half mile visibility in blowing snow and a little above zero F.

I like how quiet your cattle are. Mine were always like that too for the most part. Being around them a lot, they would be much easier to work with than some I've seen over the years. Haven't had cows now for about 5 years. Maybe now that they're cheap to buy, I'll "close the gates and flip the troughs". I Enjoy your videos.

Mine are quiet enough for me but get alarmed when strangers or rattling cattle trailers show up. I don' t suppose I really make any money at this hobby herd. Probably lucky if I cover the expenses of putting up hay and grain for them. And if I was to figure a wage for my hours, well forget about it. I'm just in it for fun. Out in the blowing snow looking after them this morning was not quite as much fun but its a reason to get out of the house for some exercise.

Yesterday we had 62 degrees. Tornado touched down just north of me about 8-10 miles or so (Zimmerman, MN). Caused pretty significant damage in a couple spots. Woke up this morning to wind chills at 5 degrees, and snow on the ground. Only in Minnesota. Video included of the tornado (Language alert)!

We are not getting anything like tornados but straight wind gust to over 50mph. Just insane trying to fight that wind carrying pails and bales. Cows are sick of it too an complaining. Been going on over 24 hours.
