First trip to Las Vegas to attend the ConExpo show. This is billed as the second largest event in Vegas (I don't know what #1 is) and is a one-every-three-year show of all sorts of construction equipment and hydraulic products. I work for an ag equipment OEM but since "under the hood" the hydraulics, electrical, and control systems are similar between construction equipment and what we design and manufacture my employer thought it would be beneficial for us to see what was all out there. Should be an educational experience.

Never having been to Vegas before that is quite an education too for a rural Kansas farm guy. My boss and I were just wandering through the downstairs area of our hotel with all the casinos, bars, shops, etc, and yeah, we're not in Kansas anymore!

While you're there, make time to go down to the old town, and see the Fremont Street Experience between the old casinos. There is also a great Mob Museum downtown that is a must see. They also have a great transit system, local and express busses, and you can ride both all over town with the same $8 daily card

Make sure you take the trolley ride to see most everything and stop at Gold and Silver - Pawn Stars !

We were there 2 yrs ago for the race and the Elvis thing and went down to convention site--walked around outside and were going inside but they wanted $90 to get in. We left! We stayed at the Nugget, I like the old Vegas better than the strip, Have fun---Tee

Too many "go missing" to suit me, have fun.

I'm guessing SEMA & the AAPEX show are #1. Been to it twice, its to with anything automotive world. Would like to see the ConExpo show 1day.

About 5 years ago we flew into Vegas to visit Zion, Bryce and other hiking spots. On our way back we met relatives in Vegas and spent a day or two in town. We didn't care for it at all, couldn't wait to get back to the mountains. We will be in Utah again this spring for hiking and Vegas is not on the itinerary.

Went to several of those shows; even went to one after I retired, but decided that would be the last one that I would attend.

Where else can you be in Venice or NY City without ever leaving the strip. Renting ATVs to ride the dessert is fun too.
