OT Halflingers?

The wife and I have a tremendous opportunity to start some Halflingers. They will just be broke to ride. We have started and trained plenty of Quarter Horses to know that each one has their own personality. Guess my question is, as a general rule of thumb, how hard are Halflingers to start and train?
Biggest thing about this deal is, we would be traveling to the DC area to do it. I am the type of guy that likes to talk to cows not people. :)

my uncle had one he bought for the grandkids and I would walk out to the pasture and hop on it. Most gentle horse I have ever been around and was never really worked with.

Most I've seen tend to be pretty easy going, but they do have a bit of that "pony" attitude. In the end it comes down to how they've been handled prior to you working with them and their natural personality. For the most part they are more like a draft horse than a nasty little mini or Shetland.

I have two. Very gentle. Catch anywhere. They like to be rubbed and scratched. I use them to plow and to pull a buggy.
