IH 3200A Skidsteer.

I Have A IH 3200A skidsteer it sat for about 9 years. it has A Two cylinder deutz Diesel in it. So the cylinders were full of water. and I Pulled the injectors and got it to spin over and get he water out.
Then I put it back together and tried starting it. and primed the hell out of it. nothing. can't get it to pop on starter fluid. so whats my next move? It has good compression. could there still be water in it? maybe in the fuel? I never changed the fuel. The oil has water it. Otherwise what cheap motor could I could I put in it? Any help would be great. Colin.

sounds like you have work to do yet. change oil, change fuel filters and fuel. get it primed.
and for the compression, did you actually check it with a guage? because if it had water in the cyl's the rings maybe stuck. and how long was this water in there? have you checked if its getting fuel to the injectors? sounds as if you did not even lube the cyl's , so i cant see it having compression to start.

It's a little late now, but the oil should have been changed before it was turned over! About any engine oil will work, as it will need to be changed a couple times to get the majority of the water out, if it does start.

Some oil in the cylinders will also help. Something light, rust penetrant, ATF, something to seep down and free the rings.

Have you loosened the injector lines and got fuel up to the injectors? If not, that will be necessary to purge air from the system. If it sat with the kill lever in the stop position, the pump may be stuck in the stop position. If it is, no fuel will come up to the injectors.

If water is in the fuel, it probably needs to be completely disassembled and every component cleaned. Diesel will grow algae and dry out to a sticky residue that clogs and sticks everything.

Once the fuel system is back up, watch for white exhaust vapor. That indicated the cylinders are getting fuel, a necessity for any hope of starting.
