Photos loading sideways

Mike, they may need to be resized. I had that happened. Since I send mine from a pc I just resized them in the photo program. From any other kind of device I have no idea

The phone or camera embeds "EXIF" digital information in each photo, one part of that data is for "orientation".

I don't know how to reliably fix that on a "smart phone", I post from my 'puter, and use a shareware program called "irfanview" to edit, crop, save, and upload my photos.

In "irfanview" when you save there's a box that can be checked to "Reset EXIF orientation tag".

This will save the photo as it appears on the screen, and when it's then uploaded it's orientation will be the same as it was when you saved it. Always works for me.

Hopefully someone will chime in here...
But I remember reading a thread about this awhile back.
You have to turn your phone a certain direction when snapping pictures to make them upload correctly oriented.

I think it may have been to turn the phone to the left... BUT there is a 50/50 chance that it was turn phone to the right. I just cannot remember for sure, and I never post pics from my phone.

Hello M-M Texas,

Usually by turning the phone clockwise 90* will make the picture load straight. You can take four pictures fron each side of the phone, then see which one is the right sude up!

Guido.

If you using a IPhone the button at the bottom has to be at the right when you take a picture for it to come out correctly on this sight.
