A great deal!

He is asking about double what it all is worth. Then you add in that the WD-9 was never that popular to start with and you have some thing that someone thinks is valuable but is not.
 
WD-9s were quite popular in the small grain growing areas of North Dakota. But I get so frustrated when any one calls them Farmalls. They ARE NOT Farmalls. Farmall means only the row crop styles of IHC.

After market 3 point hitch looks quite out of place also on that tractor. Without the factory standard rear fenders it makes me laugh - reminds me of a chicken in molting.

These were mostly used as the main heavy tillage tractor and were very good at that.
 
Maybe I'm old fashion and I would love to own a WD-9 but if I wanted a tractor to do what that one has been modified to do I can think of several actual Farmall models of similar horse power that would work a lot better and cost less money. For me putting a 3 point hitch on that type of tractor is just clumsy.
 
It is overpriced, but he probably has that much into it. The hitch is a very nice one, looks like a Saginaw hitch, they sold for about 700. He has
a pump on the front, that cost a few bucks also. It's easy to put money into theses old girls, but really hard to get money out. Kinda like wives...

Always liked those old McCormicks, more than I'd pay but I'm always looking for a bargain.A lot would depend on what shape the parts tractors are in,if they parted out well you could
cut the cost of the running tractor way down.
 
yikes, that thing is scary, no fenders, no batt. boxes, no lights on it, paint is slope job. his definition of nice and restored is out of this world. just think if there was no picture ???. lol.
 
Lot of WD9's in the rice growing areas of the Texas coast. Most of the early ones were on steel. Good reliable old tractors. I've never seen one with a 3pt. setup....
