JDn 4020 needs new starter. Wanting one that will spin over fast. iv heard you can use a 4430 starter and they crank faster? Any suggestions what to get? Thanks

Put a gear reduction starter on my 4020 using 2/0 welding cable and copper battery terminal.it does spin the engine faster.no problems starting during cold weather.

Which starter you need depends on if you have an early or late 4020. If your manifold comes out straight instead of dropping down under the exhaust you have a late 4020 and can use a 4kw starter instead of the 3kw gear reduction starter. If you need more help just contact me.
