3-point hitch

Recently there was a thread about 3-point hitch attachments, I built this when we first bought our 4600. I find it very useful
for moving trailers around, as I don't have to get out of the seat to hook and unhook. If I'm just moving a trailer around the
yard I don't bother latching them as most have a fair amount of tongue weight. I also use it for pulling logs out of the
woods and have never had a problem with the front end raising, but I always have the loader on. The tractor has the factory
ROPS with a canopy added. The A-frame should of been a little higher as it does not stay quiet level in all positions, live
and learn!

I have a 3pt bale spear with removable spears, welded a trailer hitch receiver under the cross brace on the spear. Can pull the spears out and switch out what ever hitch assemblies
I need with one pin just like a truck hitch, about the handiest thing around the farm.

I built the twin to that. Painted mine safety yellow. Use mine when raking ditch hay. Excellent for raising and lowering rake when going over field approach and top and bottom crown of ditch.

Not necessarily, when pulling trees I like to lift the but end to keep it cleaner, and the tractor will pull more with the weight. I have never had a problem with the front end coming up, and I have pulled 12 inch ash 60 feet long, 2 at a time. The loader is fairly heavy and the tractor has front-wheel-assist. I like to do most of my logging in the winter, right now is great, I can drive on the 6 inches of frozen snow, and there are no mosquitoes.
