Farm Machinery Show

Will be there 2 days again. Friday by myself and Saturday with the family and grand kids. Grandson is 5 and I've already had him there 4 times. Grand daughter is 8 and she's been there 5 times. Both love it.

Probably won't go this year; too many aches and pains, trouble walking. would love to go again though. My youngest son works two booths for chemical and seed corn companies and be there for the duration. I did not go to the very first one that they had, but did go the second year and went to the tractor pull that year, also. Been to at least one session every year since. Seems like it was around the early '60s. Sure have been a lot of changes in the equipment and technology during those years. And, I am 68 this year and I sure have seen a lot of changes also. my son installs GPS units on equipment and I told him that back when I was farming my GPS unit consisted of picking out a tree, fence post, or anything else, keeping your eye on it and drive as straight as you could toward it with an old M and a 494A John Deere corn planter. Loved it!
To all going to the show, be careful; at least we are having pleasant weather in KY for you all of you this year.

Too much traffic and too many roads to get lost on for me to go through town again. 3 years since I was through there but not for the show.

Be there in the morning. I just live 60 miles away. Stop at Lagrange Ky Cracker Barrel for breakfast on the way.
