You guys having any "syrupy" thoughts yet? I just picked up a couple of storage tanks, tubing and spouts to put another section or two of woods on pipeline. Too early yet, but it's coming! My left shoulder has completely crapped out again. Gathering will be misery. Going to pipeline as fast as I can swing it. Only 7 years since surgery on the left shoulder. CRAP! Been 14-15 years since surgery on the right one and that one, and while it's not all that good, it's still in better shape than the left. Double Crap!
 
Don, I had to back away from the operation last June. Too many conflicts over rebuilding the sap house, and how they were harvesting firewood. My dad taught me how to sustainably maintain the sugar bush, but the younger generation has no clue and seam unwilling to learn. They cut firewood, indiscriminately and cause way too much collateral damage With big farm tractors, wiping out young saplings and leaving quality limb wood in the bush to rot.
I left on good terms, and they are on their own.
They will probably start tapping this coming week, but we got a 16" snowfall over the last few days.
My health is failing, and I have way too many unfinished projects to bring to completion before I'm gone, so I am putting my final years goals into perspective.
