What a weekend

Finally had time late Saturday to work on my 01
Ford 7.3. Needed to clean the screens in the tank
and replace the fuel pump. Dropped the tank and
the screens were almost completely plugged.
Cleaned them put it back together and moved on to
the fuel pump. Somebody had put the wrong pump
in the box so it would not work and it was too late to
get a different one. Go and get the right one this
morning and proceed to install Tightening the
electrical connector with a socket and darn stud
breaks off. Mind you I did not have a ratchet on it
just the socket and extension. Won't have a new
one till late tomorrow. I give up till then
 
Some days you know there is a higher power and you want to know why he doesn't want you to get what you're working on fixed
 
There's been times when I finally got something put back together, I didn't try it out that night. Didn't want to be disappointed again that day.
 
Yup I've had all that and more all in one day. Everything I tried doing something broke, a wrench, a part, a tractor. Some it was the part I put in broke, so fixing that, I broke something else. I finally went in the house where I hid until the next day. Next day went much better too.
 
The good in all this is that the bulk of the work is behind you. Frustrating, but time to think about/do something else. Been there.
 
There is always tomorrow like you said. We have all had those days. I put a Jeep transmission together one time and put the slider in backwards. I only had two gears. I think it was low and reverse. All I could do is take to out again. Stan
 
I've been there before on such....gotta get it together to see if you did it right. With me, once I got the mindset that it had to be done, it was a lot easier than the first time as fasteners aren't stuck and you know your way around. Getting the mindset was the biggest problem!
