After making a few loaves of bread, I finally found my bread slicing guide. This thing makes perfect slices every time. You cut the bread with an electric knife.

I joke with the wife that she needs one of these. She likes a thick slice, but one side will be a half inch think and the other side could be 1" thick. Drives me nuts
that she cannot cut a straight slice or even close to one

I use the electric knife free hand to slice bread and usually can cut a pretty even and thin slice.

Mine likes to cut from right to left also! I am going to put a shim in her left foot see it will make a difference Drives me nuts also!

We have not been having good success with our unit lately. SWMBO mad a loaf yesterday - not good. Bought new yeast today, we will see. I like the thing and the bread it has produced. P.S. we can both get even slices. Sharp dedicated bread knife is the answer. ;^)
