856 IPTO stripped out

I recently bought a IH 856. I was told about the clicking noise in the transmission. The tractor has been sitting for about eight years, I finally get the old gal running. It has a loud shrilling noise in the bell housing. Sounds like a bearing going out. Power steering is gone no brakes and PTO doesn't work.
After reading and calling around. i decided to buy the tractor.
Just kinda like to get some opinions on replacing the clutch.
is aftermaket parts just as good as Case-IH.
 

IH never made much of any bearings or clutch parts. They bought from the same mfgs as the after market places sell.
 
The drive tube and the Pressure plate are both in need of replacement. When you are in there, (split) make sure the drive can turn
the pumps and PTO. if something is stuck it will strip again or break something. Jim
 
as said needs the pressure plate and driven sleeve for it. While your in there you might as well put the seal in for the front end of the trans.
