My 46 B at idle the oil pressure is right at the stop on the guage and at full throttle is almost touching the M? Am I ok any ideas?

I'd fist check the gauge is good and then you can turn it up. On that year you have to remove the top engine cover to get to the oil pressure adjustment screw.

You should tell us what type and Weight oil you have in the engine...

"M" at full throttle suggests it may be set for proper pressure..

If you are using 5w-20 oil, I would expect low oil pressure at idle..

More often than not, back in the past the norm was to use straight 30 Wt oil, changing to a lighter oil for the Cold Months..

Just thought about the Pressure Relief valve... it may be stuck open, dropping oil pressure at lower RPM..

Myself, to slowly clean my Engines, I add Rislone to the oil.. A rather easy-going engine cleaner and change that out in the spring..

You may want to check your Manual, to see if you can access the relief valve and check it..

If you have the crankcase lid off check the line inside the crankcase that goes up to the oil pressure gauge line. The nut on the top of that line backed off on my A, bleeding off pressure and making the gauge read low. It took some real head scratching before I found it.

Maybe your carb float doesn't close and gas leaked past the float valve into the cylinders, past the rings into the oil.

Thanks a lot guys I'm going to change the oil and see what happens. If still low pressure I'll pull the cover thanks for the help.
