These guys crossed the road in front of me today, about 1/2 mile South of the Home farm (Alberta).
Looks like 2 cows and 2 bulls. I barely had time to get a photo.

Looks cold! Is that straw or hay that seems to be in those windrows?

Nice picture, thanks for sharing.

Thats a good clear shot getting them all in one frame. We have a few here in my area of Sask. too but I have not seen them all winter. Is that un harvested swaths where they are standing?

Just curious....what time of the year do the moose drop their antlers?
Apparently, they keep them longer than the whitetails?

rustred,

I sent a second email, but maybe this is not working for whatever reason.
Anyway, mine is:

First part = rsoles44
Second part = @telus.net

Hope to hear from you.

Yes, that is un-harvested oats.
The snow came so very early this past fall, and stayed.

Not a good situation. The moose and deer will make a real mess of those swaths. I've got about a hundred acres of flax that is staying out all winter too.

Great picture. Interesting also. Have never seen a moose in the wild however haven't been in moose country much, just western Colorado and probably not in the right part of the state.
