Traded tractors update

They dropped off the New Holland t4030 last Friday and we couldn't be happier as of yet. The kubota M8200 looked quite a bit taller in the yard while doing the swap and I kinda felt like I made a huge mistake. The NewHolland has smaller wheels all around but the tires are really wide for their height and the step around the transmission is quite a bit lower than the kubota was as well making it lower stanced. We widened it out on Saturday and yesterday I put it to work . Loaded 15 tandem trucks full of pen pack manure and it handles the job at least as well and stabil as the Kubota ever did. Very pleased now.

I remember when Pa got a brand new Ford 4600 w/ a loader. We had a loafing barn for the young stock and that was before skid steers had caught on. I was happier then a pig in....

That would have been a great tractor. Dad bought a 4610 no loader new in 88. It was a great tractor for a lot of years.

(quoted from post at 23:29:32 01/31/17) Tks before that we had a Belarus lol
About 20 years ago I was working for a BTO that had just about every color of tractor that he could get a "good deal" on, even a couple Belarus'. Part of my job was taking the spreaders out, and while the Ford guys were bragging up the Fords, and the Deere guys were dissing everything not green, and even the Deutz had fans, when the snow and mud got to the point that getting stuff spread would just have to wait, there was a beat up Belarus MFWD that would still cover the fields when nothing else would, and the tires weren't even that great.. Nobody liked it because it looked ratty and even when new was about as utilitarian as something from the '40's, but the engineering of tire size, weight distribution, ground clearance... it just WORKED!

I wouldn't say that I'd want to own one, but I sure had to give credit where due.

And congrats on the new tractor, Philip D.

Thank you,I can attest to the Belarus too they
weren't pretty or much fun to use but when the
rubber hits the dirt they get the job done no problem
