GO BIG!!! GO DEEP!!!

Seems like they are taking marginal subsoil and mixing it with fair to good top soil. Seems just wrong. neet video though.

They have done that many different places used to do it in Calif need to get soil mixed up like other post says how would you ever disc afterwords Better have the biggest Cat on tracks just so you wouldnt fall into a "hole" as the pics i have seen when done man just could not walk thru on foot you could fall into a hole and never see daylite again.
 
If you go to the Florida Flywheelers show you can see a plow similar to that plowing every day.

Ole Schmidt ! ! Be interesting to find out WHY - maybe they wanted to mix some sand with topsoil. I don't think my 60 would even pull that thing on pavement !

I remember some guys from our church took a mission trip down south to help with flood recovery from the Great Mississippi Flood of '93(?) and they saw deep plowing like that to rehab the fields from the flood damage and debris.

Might get 20' here before hooking a 200# or bigger rock. I've already taken out half a dozen from our 4 acre hay field, and those were just the ones showing on the surface. One was well over 600.
