Hi, I have a '47 Farmall Cub. Some where in the past I saw a step that had 2 hooks that went over the pedal shaft and when you put it down a metal lug hit the bottom of the floor board and kept it in the right place. Can someone direct me to it. I was thinking about making one. Ed Will Oliver BC

Can you just bolt a piece of angle iron to the right final drive that sticks forward? There is two or three drilled and tapped (5/8-11 I think) on the front and back of both final drives.

Just go on ebay and look through CUB steps, tractor steps. Take a look. The one that i have is 5he step that bolts to 5he rear gear housing. Very nice and by the time you buy it making your own is not toooo cost efective. Just remember, it would be a good idea to stop at Fastenall and pick up bolts that are 3/8 of an inch longer. That way you use the full thread in the hole. That hang on type step strains the platform if you are a big dude. The one to thr rear is much stronger. The last photo shows one. There is another type with a larger step too.

Had to down load these from my laptop.

Take a piece of 1/4x2in angle iron fasten it to the holes where the drawbar goes when its reversed put a pad on top of the angle for a step you will like it better than the one you described that one is too high and you will like the one you made better. If you want the one described its yours for the postage cause i didnt like it.

Gives me an idea. I once saw an H Farmall that had two steps built on it, one on the drawbar and one on the axle. Wish I'd taken pix with my cell phone so I could remember how they were built. It sure made a difference getting on and off. I have two H's and an M that could use them.

Hi Jefcat, thanks for photos and others for suggestions on the steps for my IH cub. Ed Will Oliver BC
