Agricultural attachments on skidsteer?

Hi, a month ago I was planting a couple rows of raspberries, and I had my Bobcat right there. It occurred to me that it would be kinda convenient to be able to run a furrow with the Bobcat. Do any of you guys have Ag attachments for your skidsteers?

I planned to build a 3pt hitch, with hydraulic pto, a few years ago. I did get a good hydraulic pump, so I've dusted off my plans and I think I will make one before Spring. Do any of you guys have something like that? Do they have to have quick hitch lower links? It seems to me that I'll have to make something like that.

I know you can buy 3pt adapters for skidsteers, but they're a lot of money. I can make one and have it the way I want it. I hope to use my bush hog on it, and maybe make a ditcher for burying lines.

Thanks for any advice.

I spent around $240 for my adapter plate a couple of years ago. I thought that was reasonable, it also has a drawbar receiver, which is great for backing wagons in the barn and moving trailers around. I have used it with this subsoiler for breaking ground for trenches (we have very rocky ground), and improving drainage in animal pens. I also use it with a landscape rake that works great for raking rocks and finish landscaping. I also use a 6' back blade on it for finish grading and moving snow. I would go stir crazy running a bush hog with it, just too slow of ground speed.

How deep do you want to bury lines? I torched a hole in the front of my bucket to use as a hitch point for spotting wagons, and when I needed to bury a shallow elec line, I loosely bolted a chisel plow shank there, and pulled it backwards multiple times, then shoveled out the loose dirt that wasn"t thrown out.

Eldon, thanks for those detailed photos! Gives me great ideas. I might space my links out further, to imitate a tractor. That way I don't have to get different drive shafts for my implements (mower, tiller). I'll post photos when I get it done.

Thanks,

Troy

I've not added a tractor in years but now am up to 3 skid loaders. This past year added a
brush mower and a post hole digger with rock bits. I've also made a post driver to go on a
jack hammer, made and purchased hay spears, and purchased brush grapples, a rock trencher,
and a back hoe.
