Marvel-Schebler TSX 13 Carburetor

Anyone know how to remove the power jet on this carburetor? Its the small jet below the nozzle also is threaded or pressed in. Thanks.

O never try to remove them. I have found if you try you are more likely to mess them up then any thing else. I spray them out with carb cleaner poke them out wit ha piece of wire or a torch tip cleaner tool and spray then and then blow them out a few times

Roger........are you sphincterly challenged? I went to a Jr College that had a gun smithing school founded by P O Ackerly. I always thought gunnies were nutts. One of 'em had a 50-cal machinegun barrel that he made a rolling block action for it. We'd go east of town and go bunny bumping. Shoot that single shot barrel mounted in a wooden railroad tye (actually a 4X6) with a string on the trigger. Then use a brass welding rod to poke the empty casing out the back end. Made a #ell of a noise and smoke across the arroya. (canyon)

As fer yer carbie; gitt a "hollow-ground" gunsmithing screwdriver (make one by holding the side against a grinding wheel) Then dunk yer carbie in HOT BOILING WATER. The castiron will expand enuff so you kenn un-screw yer BRASS jet. Simple, eh? Iff'n you do what Old suggests, be certain to use EYE PROTECTION.......HTH, the amazing Dell

I just worked on a TSX 769 a couple of days ago. Fuel nozzle and jet in top didn't want to come out. Put a few drops of KROIL on both of them and let it soak for a few minutes. Still didn't want to move so I took the propane torch and heated the casting around them for thirty or so seconds till it was warm to the touch. Try to keep flame off the jet itself. Both came right out. Make sure the screwdriver fits the slot.
