Thinking about selling my 2009 F250 4X4 extended cab 79800 miles has 5.4 and automatic transmission no rust yet all black what would be a fair price to ask? I'm thinking $22,000? I don't need a F250 anymore thanks Howard

I bought this 07 in September of 14. 5.4 gas,auto,4x4,189,000 miles,no rust,complete service records,most from California. I gave $5750 for it.

I just looked on autotrader and that's in line of the ASKING price. You can always come down if you don't have any interest. A lot depends on the trim level, a King Ranch trim will bring more than an XL. I personally wouldn't give that much but I usually buy a work truck. Locally a dealer was advertising a crew cab 4x4 Chevy 2500 for $32 thousand and some change. We don't have a local Ford dealer so I haven't seen an add for them.

Google Kelly blue book. They will prompt you right through it and give you the amount within $100.00. If you give your location you will probably get a few dozen offers.

You can asked $22500 but I think it will sell in the $18-19K range. That is unless it is LOADED up with options you may then get more. The real trouble is going to be that new trucks have tremendous rebates and programs on them right now. You can buy new gas pickups in the mid to upper $30s right now with low rate financing. Your truck is 7 years old with 79K in miles on it.

Truthfully I usually buy used but if I had to chose between yours at $22k and a new one at $35k I would buy the new one. I am pretty sure you can buy a new Ford F250 gas for that $35K.
