I'm about to give up on my 15 year old snow blower, so I was checking some out online a few minutes ago, Menard's, Lowes, Sears, etc.

On Sears' ad for snow blowers, they had a disclaimer that said, "Prices may vary in Puerto Rico and Hawaii". Upper elevations, maybe? I was at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico in January a couple of times and the temp was 80-90 degrees.

Back in the late 1980's I was in to whole sale cars. I had a guy who had trade in a car from Hawaii what I did not know is that this car did not have a heater in it. There weather is so nice over there they do not need heaters in the cars. Why would they need a snow blower.

Lots of snow at upper elevations on island of Hawaii. When I was there a few years ago, I was on a beach near Kona in 80 degree weather while the local radio station was issuing a blizzard warning for upper elevations.

I once saw the flip side of that.

I checked out a Pontiac Grand Prix that was for sale. It had every option imaginable except-air conditioning. I checked the car's history and it originated in Alaska.

I had an aunt and uncle lived in the hills of North Carolina. I remember them coming to visit Texas in the 70's.

Their car didn't have AC, they didn't have AC in their house.

About died when they came down here! The heat and chiggers did a number on them!

(quoted from post at 10:16:04 01/08/17) Lots of snow at upper elevations on island of Hawaii. When I was there a few years ago, I was on a beach near Kona in 80 degree weather while the local radio station was issuing a blizzard warning for upper elevations.

So, people live up there and have driveways to clear?

I spent Nov of "65 in PR...NG base at Salinas, and we off/on loaded at Rosy Roads. Beautiful there, temps in the 80s, but between Salinas and San Juan there are some high mountains. Towed a duece and a half down the Naval radar site up there. Also flew through the AFB on the NW corner of the island a couple of times.
