Different deer seasons

This has been another successful deer season for us.The two biggest sets of antlers are two years apart, the small set is from 1977.All three sets of antlers are 8 points each. I sure enjoyed riding, and having a disabled hunter permit in the windshield. It's really gratifying to know that this stat makes deer hunting available for people. I don't know how many states allow for disabled hunting, but I'm grateful for this one.We purchased a new type of bullet with a red tip,Hornady ELD-X 220 gr it has a lot more distance and accuracy and hitting power. We reload the 30-06 and the 300 winchester magnum . It's truly amazing, I wonder how you guys done?
Respectfully,
LOU

Michigan has provisions for handicapped hunters. I applaud them and those who make it possible for them. We had a pretty good season, but all but two were antletless. One aws a spikehorn with horns flattened right between his ears. Thought he was a doe. Had to burn a buck permit for him. Friend got a nice buck, opening morning on my place. 4 1/2 years old, massive 11 points, 23" outide spread, DNR guy at checkpoint said the largest one they saw all day. Gotta go back and read the script, thought that one was supposed to be mine.

In Michigan, it allows hunting from a vehicle, or ATV, or wheelchair. Also provisions for blind or visually impaired. Check your regulations before you go out hunting on these transportations. Do not quote me!

Nice bucks, but I really have to ask. Why are the 2 big ones mounted upside down? For hanging hats?
Me and my oldest daughters got a 4x4 , and 2 fork horns. Nice eating , big bodied deer. Had are 4 year of bucks only. So we figured we did real good as we hadn't got a deer in 5 years.

You didn't quite get enough of them - I hit one with my truck about 3 weeks ago. Nothing $2200 won't fix.

All of the antlers are mounted right. Main beam are pointed up wards as on the buck. smaller points tells the story.
The center horns was on a good sized buck, D.N.R warden said all the protein went into the bulk of the buck, leaving Little for the horns. .
REGARDS .Lou

My deer season didn't last long. The first morning of the rifle season, I nailed a 5x4 buck 13 minutes after it was legal to shoot. Got him down by a creek about 150 yards behind my shop.

Depends on the state your in. Here in Missouri I have had a crossbow permit and a permit that will let me sit in a car or truck or even a tractor and hunt. I have had both for decades now. Ya I almost never use the one for sitting in a car etc because my deer stands are set up so I can still get to them pretty easy

Here in the west, those are all 3 points- we count one side, and don't include the eye guards.

From what we kill here in Tennessee the horns are upside down as grown on the deer but most things are different up north . Wish you were here have so many of the dang things and no one ever wants to kill a doe. Pretty common to see front yard with deer.

(quoted from post at 21:08:06 01/07/17) they are up side down
think they are right side up but the scull cut was done in such a way as to lower the tips. Cut further back than you normally see. More of a charging mount than a head up looking around.

hen again the more I look the less sure I am about it.

Thanks guys---I checked with NYDEC and you basically have to be wheelchair bound to get a permit to shoot from a motor vehicle or ATV---I drive in and set up a chair to shoot from
