Remember if you don't like the cold and snow that for most of us in the midwest it only takes about three tanks of gas in the family sedan to escape.

3-1/2 tanks to tampa. forecast for tonight is 36 degrees there. glad i'm not doing the two day drive especially thru Nashville and Atlanta looking at the forecasts
it's 900 for me only 2 tanks or 16 hrs driving to ft myers to my brother's place . don't forget though there's lots of gators and lots of sharks in them there waters . gators in your back yard , can't let the dog out or the children because they just show up . other than that it's beautiful in the winter .

I once saw it snow in Jacksonville, first time in 11 years. About a half inch of wet stuff that was gone by mid morning.
Everywhere you went the next day people would ask if you got up to watch it snow. My response was, "Anytime I get out of a warm bed at 3am to watch it snow, that will be the day".
But, you gotta figure there were 12 year old kids who had never seen snow.
