We got slammed with snow here in the DFW area of north Texas.

Traffic is gridlocked in every direction, wrecks everywhere!

Officially, 1/10 inch! Drifts to 1/2 inch!

But that's all it takes... I'm hibernating till spring! LOL

You are breaking my heart . I have seen more snow than that on the 15th of October , or the 5th of May .

TO30man-Where in the Piedmont are you? I am in Davie County, southwest of Winston-Salem. Ground is getting white here, 7:30 PM.

Bruce, don't give him too much grief, he is a lot further south than you. Besides, about 10 or 15 years ago they got 3 feet just west of him on Memorial day.

About 8" here in south central Virginia and snowing pretty heavy. Absolutely beautiful outside! We rarely get this much snow in one event. As a former Michigander from the UP (1/4 mile from shores of Lake Superior), I really appreciate a serious snowfall (when it goes away a week later like it does here).
The livestock have fresh bale of hay, the bird feeder swept off, coffee pot is full, dogs ,cats hovering close to the home fires.

Just a dusting here looks like we dodged a bullet

other than the next few nights will cause some folks a headache. 10 tonight and 4 Sunday night

... Grocery store shelves are empty who would have thunk it..

Nothing like a emergency for sales tho the last few days were wild getting 4X4's ready for a snow event. $$$ Happy Happy but a tired worn out old man... The county and state painted every road white (salt brine) WTF stay at home we don't need that stuff eating up our cars. It started raining about 3 PM and was raining at 12 AM how well did that white paint work out for them.

2005 it surprised Raleigh mid day it went to raining and froze on the highways school buses were stranded out on the streets well into the night. From that time on if the word snow/ice is reported in the news a week in advance they spray down the roads with brine

Rust is becoming a issue a issue we are not use too my vehicles stay off the roads it I can help it.

You can have it. I don't ever have to see cold and snow again ever. Some one ask me where I am from, I said up State NY they said do they get snow there LOL I said we get 10 Months of Winter and 2 Months of tough sledding. My god how I love living in Fl.
