My grandson graduated from university as Val Victorian, studied French in Paris, Spanish in Italy, taught English in a university (the afore mentioned is not my genes) He is now buying several hundred acres in west central Texas near the ghost town of Gun Sight, going to fix up the old house and move there and raise cows, here is where my genes comes into play.

A smart kid who wants to get into agriculture...go figure. I guess there are worse afflictions...like golf. Congratulations! Must be quite a relief when a THIRD generation turns out OK!

Is he going to teach (maybe) part time in Ranger at CC?

Pat.......studying French in Paris makes sense, ...BUT... studying Spanish in Italy? don't make sense. Grew up in spanish speakin' area of Colorado, we called it Mexican. Lotta the kids thought it'd be a Snap Course 'cuz they spoke it at home. WHOOPS!!! Castilian Spanish wasn't ennythang like home. I gott talked into taking LATIN. (hic, hac, hoke) Really screwed my grade average. (frown) Now my ex-wife was quite a linguist. Joined the Peace Corps and they sent her to Rio de Janero Brazil, where they speak Portuquese. Claimed she spoke it with French accent. When we toured Italy after picking up our brand new BMW 2002 at the German factory in 1969, she gott all kinds of "favors" by speaking Italian, even with a French accent......tongue tied Dell
