Snowed about 10 inches of fluffy white crap last night , and then the wind picked up and blew it all around .It was getting close to the time the milk truck should arrive , and still no snow plough had gone by. Are farm is about a mile from town , and the main drag is always cleaned up , so the truck comes in from town. After I did the driveway , I headed down the road towards town and blew out some three foot drifts.Got it cleaned up enough for the tractor trailer to come up just in time. Snow plough didn't go pass till after 2:00 pm . With the kids still out on Christmas break, no buses, running the roads, so who cares right? Maybe the county will take it off my taxes , lol.

Sounds like your area got hit pretty hard in the last few days. Not much snow here, but a lot of wind , visibility was poor, caused some roads to be closed. Milk truck will always get through, it seems. Ben

We just got a dusting, and the county just went by, then there are times we will get 8" and they will be no were around! I can't figure out there mentality. I don't want to get started on the amount of salt they put down!

Let me guess....you were roughing it in your cab tractor with the heat and radio....

2 winters ago we had to do that a lot here, not much fun at all than the odd car will decide to drive down the 1 lane path you made for the milk truck and get blocked in

When you get snow, that is the time the county decides that the truck and/or plow needs maintenance work.

Many years ago you used to be able to trade working on the road for taxes. Many farmers would use their horses on the grader to clean ditches and other road maintenance.

When I went to bed Thurs night there was a possibility of a dusting. A little before I got up this morning I heard a plow truck go by. When I got up and turned the light on I could see a quarter inch of snow on the wife's car. Our road agent is kind of sensitive and has a hard time with anyone accusing him of not doing a good job. Our town's plow rates are the highest in the area, and he likes to give the contractors as much time as he can so that they will be there whenever he calls them.

Yeah, got caught right in the middle of the Lake Effect going after TMR yesterday morning. An hour later, the sun is shining. It's south of here today. Mannville/Pulaski area.
