The original subject was "Re: Hee Haw, Bib Overalls,Union Suits, and Tractors".

I grew up on a farm wearing overalks. Then I joined the navy and wore dungarees and coveralls. Now I'm out of the Navy and back into oceralls. I find they are the most comfortable clothing to wear.

I've been wearing them for a year or two myself.

Extra points to anybody who can name the guy in the middle of the second picture. LOL

Isn't that your buddy Ray?

You guys and your overalls even got me to try a pair. I like them so well I ordered two more pair. I even got the ones with the zipper pocket on the front for my check book.

I wear bibs almost all the time, don't like my shirt hanging out , or pants sliding down. As for union suits, same thing applies. The elastic in the two piece long johns always seems to give out , and I don't like floppy top underwear , lol.

Good for you Countryboy. Ive been wareing them for most of 60 years. I even wore a black pair of Carrhartts to a fancy restaurant in Minneapolis. In fact I have my burial set of Blue bibs and a red and black checkered Penelton Shirt in the closet ready when needed. No monkey suit for me.

Yep,it's RayP. The other guy is Everett. I don't know if he ever checks in here anymore or not.

sounds good! ifi could i'd wear bib overalls all the time! i hate wearing suits. I feel far more comfortable in a pair of overalls than anything else!

I like bibs as well, they are just comfortable. Here is a picture my daughter and I did before she went off to prom, had a little fun, people that know me know I did not have to dress for this one.

I like that pic 8NHenry! You've got the proper "Dad of a pretty daughter" glare on your face too.

I've been wearing bibs most of my life and prefer them over jeans most of the time.

Pointer brand, Roundhouse and [i:c7fd2a7d9d]some[/i:c7fd2a7d9d] of the Carharrt's are the only ones still made in the USA that I'm aware of so I stick to those brands these days.

Pointer and Roundhouse make low back bibs that are more comfortable in the summer too.

Bibs seven days a week Round House blue or pinstripe. If you would happen to see me in a casket I will be in bibs. Pinstripe are my dress up bibs.

My first bibs were back in '76, Oskosh with a button fly. Loved those. Had a few pair since, but because I'm one of the fortunate ones who are still thin as a rail, I get to wear jeans without a belt. But come winter, I'm back in Carhartt insulated bibs. They go on in the morning, and don't come off until I'm in for the night. I hang 'em by the wood stove for the legs to thaw and dry out overnight. Bibs can't be beat when wading through knee deep (or worse) snow (don't ride up over boot tops), or working an open station tractor (no crack in the back), or getting down in the snow to hook a chain to a stuck vehicle.

I had a union suit once. Never again. The wife stole it and wouldn't give it up. Besides, I like my tractors red, but not so much my underwear. :)

awesome! LOOKS LIKE you live the kind of simple life on a farm that i wish i could return to again! I dont care about the color of my underwear. We got a ton of snow here in
Virginia yesterday and i put on my trusty ol long union suit back on, this has the infamous 'fireman's flap' on the backside so i dont have to take them completely off when going
to the bathroom! I love wearing them as much as bib overalls!
